Hi Goat Roper fan's...Manny Massa here and I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself and the band. I founded the Goat Roper Band 9 years ago. It all got started when I'd go out to hear different local bands and thought, "Hey,I can sing, Why not trying putting a band together!" I found some musicians who were willing to rehearse and see if something would come out of it and would you believe I'm still going at it.. I grew up on a farm and when I'd go out with friends to sing at karaoke bars, my friend running the show , would say when he'd call me up on stage...."Let's get the old goat roper up to sing a song!" That's  how the band got it's name.

Our first year as a band we joined the MCMAA(Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association)and much to my surprize, the band won an award for MOST PROMISING BAND in 1996. After that first years award, the trophies just kept on comin'. Check out our Some Awards page to see what we've done..Every year just gets better and better thanks to all out fans. You, as fans, make it possible for the Goat Roper Band to go out on stage every performance, and give you the best show we can, each and every show. AND, there wouldn't be a Goat Roper Band

They are not only great musicians, but have become part of my family....Jimmy Ribeiro, Barry Spooner, Andy Perry, johnE May...and one of my best buddy's....Danny Adams..You guys are the best.  I would also like to thank some of the guys and gals who have played and helped the Goat Roper Band get to where we are today..Kerry Anderson, Manny Escobar, Harry Reynolds, Elaine Ellis, Maureen Adams and Shane Samora.  Most importantly, I would to thank my mother and family for all the love and support they've given me all these years.
